1.Experiment Group

Name: Na Tian
Grade: Senior
Contribution: As the lab manager, she is considerate and conscientious. Her main job is taking charge of protein expression experiment and distributing assignments to other team members.
Name: Ziyu Wang
Grade: Junior
Contribution: She is a warm helper in the group. Her main job is testing whether pmsp3 promoter could drive the expression of the coding sequence in AMB-1.
Name: Peng Zhang
Grade: Junior
Contribution: He puts great efforts in the bench work, he is diligent and in charge of recording notebook, and undertakes the complex administrative and construction details.
Name: Jiingru Hu
Grade: Junior
Contribution: She is one of the most diligent workers, She has an active mind and always put up with some novel ideas, and carries out the pilot and the molecular experiments.
Name: Mingren Li

Contribution: He is good at searching papers and making recommendations based on the case. He is the most powerful in the group, so he takes charge of maintaining all equipments in laboratory.

Contribution: She is responsible for generating Spycatcher-Mms13 and expressing it in AMB-1. As a senior student, she has excellent experimental skills and works hard consistently through the whole project.

Contribution: She is energetic and humorous. She has been working regularly in the wet-lab and assists Jiayuan Zhang to construct vectors.

Grade: Junior
Contribution: She is the mastermind behind the bulk of the microbiology experimental processes. She designs devices to improve the output of magnetosome and get protein from the mixtures.
Name: Shuai Zheng
Grade: Sophomore
Contribution: He joined this team when he was a freshman. But he has mastered many molecular experiments skills and recorded the variety of parameter in order to analyze experiments.

2.Art Design Group

Name: Xuechun Wang
Grade: Senior
Contribution: She is an art designer in our group, not only responsible for presentation, but also for team uniform, logo. She is proficiency in many drawing softwares.
Name: Jie Tang
Grade: Senior
Contribution: She takes charge of the whole case expressive effect and the creation of the outreach as well as the presentation, focusing on iGEM dynamic news, and also she is active in wiki writing.
Name: Zhaoyi An
Grade: Senior
Contribution: She is a warm-hearted and always helps others. She is responsible for art design in the team, including wiki pages and posters.

Contribution: He has been mainly working on wiki construction and image modification, he always makes faces and makes everyone happy.

3.Writing Group

Contribution: She has a strong thirst for knowledge. Due to her excellent writing ability, she is the leader of our writing group.

Contribution: As a student who majors in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, she contributes to designing the mathematical models and analyzing some of the data to provide a theoretical support for our “protein purification kit”.

4. Human Practice Group

Contribution: As a cooperative junior, she mainly takes charge of propelling the process of human practice.

Contribution: She undertakes the part of administrative work and participated in the human practice development. Also she provides important suggestions on many occasions.

Collaboration with NEU_China

This year our iGEM team have developed cooperative relationship with NEU-China team，we have reached an agreement that to help each other examine the effectiveness of the biobricks.

Our team undertakes a few experiments to test whether the EGFP we received from NEU-China can be successfully express in E. coli.
Firstly, We digested the sequence of EGFP form pEGFPN2 vector with restriction enzyme KpnI and NotI. Secondly, we insert the sequence into pET14b which is commonly used as a prokaryotic expression vector.

The bands located at 720bp, it is equal with the length EGFP coding sequence, this gel graphic indicates that we had successfully cloned EGFP Then we transform the recombinant vector into E. coli. We had observed green fluorescence from the transgenic E. coli under a fluorescence microscope.

Collaboration with SJTU software

We have connected with SJTU_software. Their project is a social network service (SNS) platform or iGEMers, it provides service for team-team ommunication and laboratory management in teams. When the service is presented online, iGEMers can seek cooperation and share files through their platform. SJTU_software invited us to help them to test the website and give them some advice. We were offered a beta version of their website. Then we gathered several team members to try out their service and gave some useful advice.We are very pleased to have this cooperation with SJTU_software.
