Gel Extraction
Following the Qiagen protocol and Epoch protocol with modifications:
- Let column stand in wash buffer 1-5 min before centrifuging
- Wash with wash buffer twice (Buffer PE in Qiagen, WS Buffer in Epoch)
- Allow ethanol to evaporate off the column for 15 min before eluting
- Let column stand in eluent for 5 minutes before eluting
- Elute in 20 uL of nuclease-free water
