After a lot of brainstorming we came across the very concerning issue of side effects due to medication. The administration of drugs that should result in a relief from your disease may cause harm in another part of your body resulting in new symptoms thus effecting not only the sick but also the healthy cells. The sickness we are focusing on in our project is u. colitis, which is an inflammation of the tissue in the colon of humans. Taking drugs against this sickness often results in many unnecessary side effects. Just to mention a few: there are headache, limpness, diarrhea, depressions, secondary infections and embolisms.
