| |||
| The Lascaux cave has been home to parietal paintings for more than 18 000 years. It closed in 1963
| |||
| because of algal contamination, and is currently infested by bacteria and fungi that cause black and white
| |||
| spots on the paintings.
| |||
| We are offering a biological solution that consists in creating a bacteria with a predation system that will kill
| |||
| other bacteria, and an antifungal system that gets rid of fungi. In order to link these two functions, we will
| |||
| install a toxin/antitoxin system, and to prevent the bacteria from getting out of the case, a regulation
| |||
| system that is light-sensitive will trigger cell death.<br><br>
