<The Lascaux cave is in danger

The Lascaux cave has been home to parietal paintings for more than 18 000 years. It closed in 1963

because of algal contamination, and is currently infested by bacteria and fungi that cause black and white

spots on the paintings.

We are offering a biological solution that consists in creating a bacteria with a predation system that will kill

other bacteria, and an antifungal system that gets rid of fungi. In order to link these two functions, we will

install a toxin/antitoxin system, and to prevent the bacteria from getting out of the case, a regulation

system that is light-sensitive will trigger cell death.<br><br>
