Meet The Team!
Andrew Brimer
Andrew is an aspiring medical student, with strong links in community volunteering. When he isnt busy leading St Johns Ambulance teams he works in the wet lab, sequencing every successful PCR, or setting them up. Alongside this he puts his years of training cadets to use in his outreach - presenting at Westminster and at the upcoming Boston jamboree
Rob Newman
In charge of the FUEL side project, Rob designed the primers he would be working with and spent most of his time in a dark quiet room to image Vibrio harveyi , especially after a long weekend. Always was working even when he wasnt on site, Rob is a dedicated team member who contributes to every aspect of the team
Asal Golshaie
Coordinated Human Practices. Organised all outreach events, and made integrated human practices her baby. Initially organised collab with Oxford and WashU. When in the lab, she was sometimes found cloning, and mostly lurking in dark rooms, testing her cultures for light. Will do the main presentation in Boston. Wrote wiki content.
David McMaster
As Cardiff University Volunteer of the year 2015, David is a proven leader - in our project he worked on the bigger picture, not only working in the wet lab but ensuring time efficient work schedules, as well as presenting our project in Paris and the upcoming Boston jamboree
Laura Bird
As the only core Biology student, Laura was involved in the wet lab practical work and the artistic design of our outreach efforts, supporting all facets of the project in some way.
Christian Donohoe
With previous experience in CCF and outreach links in teaching, Christian is an effective team member, and worked both in the wet lab and outreach, in addition to presenting the project in Paris and Westminster.
Nik Demetriou
Nic was a core part of the wet lab team.
