Urban Tundra Edmonton
We are the high school iGEM team Urban Tundra Edmonton; a group of passionate students brought together by a shared interest: applying synthetic biology.
The Goal
By using genetically engineered E.coli, Urban Tundra strives to re-mediate toxic Martian soil and generate useful byproducts.
The Future
By innovating E.coli to re-mediate toxic Martian soil and create useful byproducts, Urban Tundra will be increasing the potential of extraterrestrial colonization.
Why?
Urban Tundra strives to turn scientific dreams of yesterday into realities of tomorrow. Through our research, we will take steps to making terraforming a reality.
