Protocols

Gel Extraction

Following the Qiagen protocol and Epoch protocol with modifications:

  • Let column stand in wash buffer 1-5 min before centrifuging
  • Wash with wash buffer twice (Buffer PE in Qiagen, WS Buffer in Epoch)
  • Allow ethanol to evaporate off the column for 15 min before eluting
  • Let column stand in eluent for 5 minutes before eluting
  • Elute in 20 uL of nuclease-free water
