As a part of the iGEM competition, all participants (including students, instructors, and advisors) are expected to follow the iGEM Rules of Conduct throughout the competition and during the Giant Jamboree. All 2016 iGEM Instructors, advisers and team members should read and understand this page. All team members are responsible for being aware of and adhering to the requirements on this page. Requirements must be met by teams. This page also links off to guidelines, which offer advice on how to meet the requirements.
1. Team
- Primary and Secondary PI = General manager
- Instructor = Head coach
- Student team leader = Team captain
- Advisor = Assistant coach
- Undergraduate: all student team members are age 23 or younger on March 31, 2016
- Overgraduate: one or more student team members are older than 23 on March 31, 2016
- High School: all student team members are high school students on March 31, 2016; includes students who graduate from high school spring 2016
1.1 Composition
iGEM teams consist primarily of undergraduate students at an accredited college or university. Teams may also be composed of high school students or community lab members.
