Safety

Safety is key value in iGEM. Our team received a safety training before starting any work in the lab, and learned : how to handle samples, where to dispose of different kind of waste, how to handle different kind of chemicals, how to use the equipment safely, and emergency procedures.
We benefit from the experience of our the Lab manager and our instructors, who are always available to answer any questions we have on safety matters. Our lab at institut Cochin follows the guidelines from the WHO laboratory biosafety manual.
