Demonstrate how your team has identified, investigated, and addressed one or more of these issues in the context of your project. Your activity could centre on education, public engagement, public policy issues, public perception, or other activities (see the human practices hub for more information and examples of previous teams' exemplary work).



Sustainability.

  • Identify – Sustainability of Antibiotics.
  • Investigated – WHO report, AMR review.
  • Addressed – Described alternative method, shown proof of concept.


Safety

  • Identify - Safety concerns over GMOs.
  • Investigated – FSS, VMD, consultations with medical professionals.
  • Addressed – Educate on benefits and potential solutions to concerns, discuss cell lysis to prevent exposure to external environment.


Ethics

  • Identify – Ethics of using GM bacteria questioned.
  • Investigated – Legislation/policy, public perception survey, educated at science centre.
  • Addressed – Described benefits and promoted safe usage of GMOs, ensure our bacteria can’t reach environment.
