My name is Renan Araújo and I’m a third year bachelor student of the course of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at USP. My main field of work is synthetic organic chemistry, but when I heard about iGEM and the Synbio, I could do nothing but cheer up and get very excited about it! It’s very very nice to see science being made in the way it was supposed to be: a bunch of people that like something doing it for love, without the worries of papers, supervisors and bureaucracy. Science for science! I immediately enrolled the team, and it’s been a great experience so far! It’s very rewarding to see so much work getting to life through the hand of students who do it out of passion, sweat and coffee.
