GROUP ATTRIBUTIONS

Brandon Wilbanks - Brandon designed the project and led the experimental team. He was in charge of managing the experimental work and training all new undergraduates to work in the lab. He also participated in several outreach events, coordinated the team’s safety regulations, and generated most figures and content for the wiki.

Taylor Weiskettel - Taylor led and coordinated the outreach, fundraising, and budget teams. She organized the panel on GMOs, and was the moderator during the event. She helped with experimental design and troubleshooting in the lab, and did wet work with the team. She also analyzed all GC-MS data for the team’s experiments.

Katherine Krouse - Katherine organized and participated in the outreach events such as the high school visits and the GMO discussion panel. She also helped with the wet lab work including PCR and cloning work. Lastly, she has worked on designing the poster for the jamboree.

Amany Alshibli - Amany organized fundraising, budgeting, and promotion of the team's efforts through university and social media outlets. She also participated in outreach events, and helped organize the panel discussion.

Matt Kubis - Matt worked primarily on the laboratory wet work. After training from Brandon, he was able to independently conduct experiments. Matt also engaged in the data analysis, poster planning, and outreach efforts.

Evan Boone - Evan developed the framework and design for the wiki page. He participated in the Knoxville Muse outreach event.

Trey Foshee - Trey contributed in the wet work by assisting with PCR, cloning, as well as some GC prep. Trey also assisted with fundraising and went to a local high school outreach event.

Neel Patel – Neel’s main contribution to the project was designing the wiki page. Neel also participated in some cloning experiments in the lab. Also, he was involved with fundraising for the team, and he participated in the Knoxville Muse outreach event.

Marti Bell- Marti helped the team budget and organize early on in the project. She also took part in project design and experimental procedure generation.

David Garcia - David was a UTK iGEM graduate advisor and assisted with the logistical needs of the team as well as with experimental design and troubleshooting.

Jong Won Lee - Jong Won was a graduate advisor for UTK iGEM for the first time in 2016. He gave advice to the team on experimental design and helped develop GC-MS methods for data analysis and ran samples.

Donovan Layton - Donovan was a UTK iGEM graduate advisor for the 4th time this year. He gave advice to the team on experimental design and helped develop GC-MS methods for data analysis.
