Embassy of France in the United States  : 1 250€ The embassy of France in the United States represent diplomatically the France in the United States. It is located in Washington. Thank you for there donation of 1 250€ we will try to represent well our country in Boston!

FSDIE  : 7100€ During the university inscription, every student give money for the The Fond de Solidarité et de Développement des Initiatives Etudiantes(FSDIE). All fundings permit to participate for the finances of various projects lead by students of the university. The students have to make a file which is examined by the GTVE (Group of work of student life), composed of VPE, Student elected representatives of associations, teachers, who will choose which project will have the money. They are several criteria of evaluation:

• The number of students touch by the project
• Philantropic aspect of the project
• Educativ aspect of the project. What the project bring to the student who participate?
• The reputation and what it can bring to the university

The FSDIE don’t give the finance directly but it will pay directly the provider. That’s why the university will establish a purchase order to the provider after giving three different quote. So thank you for the support we will represent well the Paris-Saclay University in Boston.

GenScript: material donation GenScript is the world leader in synthetic biology. They are the n°1 suppliers in North America. The CRISPR/Cas9 technology helped the new field of synthetic biology. That’s why GenScript propose this year to the iGEM contest, a competition to give to the best project using CRIPR/Cas9 the sum of 5 000$.

I2BC : 4 000€ The Institut of Integrativ Biologie of the Cell is an Mix research Unit which composed of The Paris-Sud University, CNRS and the CEA. The institut count 80 research teams, 15 facilities with 8 research teams (CGM, IBBMC, IGM, ISV, LEGS, VMS, SB2SM, SBiGeM). The institute is located in 3 different research campus (Orsay in the Paris-Sud University, Gif-Sur-Yvette in the CNRS, Saclay campus in the CEA). Our supervisors are from this institute where we had the chance to perform our experiments. Thank you for the donation of money and material and for the great help of our advidsors.

Institut Villebon Georges Charpak : material donation With small classes, recruted in a national level, the formation of the Institut Villebon- Georges Charpak lead to a general bachelor degree in “Science and Technology”, by the University Paris Descartes and Paris-Sud in partenartship with ParisTech. At the end of the formation, the students can continue on a master degree or go to an engineering school. Two of our iGEM members are from this formation. Thank you for the material which help us succeed our experiment!

Magistère de Biologie : 700€ The Magistère of Biology is formation of 3 years which include Third year of bachelor degree and 2 years of Master. This formation have for objective to give researchers and teachers-researchers on public company (CNRS, INRA, University) and private (Research&Development) and managers on bio-industry and also on many field in Biology (marketing, communication, journalism…). This year we have 6 members of the iGEM team who are in this formation

School BMP : 8 000€ The Paris-Saclay university is organized in « schools » which are inter-institution structure in charge of the organization of the formation on various scientific field. Every School is in direct link with one or several research department of the university. The school Biology Medecine Pharmacy (BMP) coordinate 4 masters from different institut of the Paris-Saclay University. The strengh of the school BMP is the impressiv amount of laboratory of the academic research. It represent around 10% of the French research. Here is the institut of higher education :

Ulule: 1 000€ Ulule is a crowdfunding website created by Alexandre Boucherot et Thomas Grange in 2010. They are based in Paris. They have offices in Paris, Barcelone, Montréal. Since it begining, Ulule helped to finance thousands of project in various fields. Ulule permit to the websurfers to participate in the finance of creativ projects. When crowdfunding is ongoing, the websurfers can give a donation without consideration or with consideration. When the finance expected are reach to the minimum fixed, the creators of the project will benefit the funds.
