Practices and Prospects

The Humanity in synthetic biology

In this chapter we focus on the part of the project that are not based in the laboratory.

We have discussed bioethics, which can be found on the next page. The bioethics page has the overview of the discussion and the theory behind it can be found at a link. We have also done some integrated human practice where we have been lucky enough to meet with some corporations who produces plastic.

A big part of participating in iGEM is spreading information about synthetic biology and the applications it can be used for. Therefore we have done a lot of outreach where we have talked with different parts of the society.

We then take a look at the prospects for Bacto-Aid and our project - and more specifically the future perspectives our BioBricks can be used for.

Take a look around and see for yourself!
