SynDustry Fuse. Produce. Use.

We already started to investigate the mechanisms behind different killswitch classes. Buidling on that we wanted to create a tool for the whole scientific community to improve the search for reliable and stable killswitch design that is suitable for the desired purpose.

The database includes all killswitches ever implemented in iGEM with a drawn topology, part numbers, kill switch classes and the links to the wiki on which the system was described (Fig. 1).

This intuitively usable tool should help teams all around the world to implement these rather important safety mechanisms in their projects in synthetic biology and biotechnological applications.
