- Researched and designed projects along with PI Cormac Gahan, SI Mark Tangney and Yensi Flores.
- Secured funding for project from various organisations (listed below).
- Arranged collaboration with Norwich iGEM team.
- Assisted in laboratory work (particularly in protein work, cell culture experiments and validation experiments).
- Conducted iRFP cell culture experiments to validate its function as in vitro reporter.
- Conducted LJM11 protein analysis experiments.
- Worked on CRISPRi experiments.
-Contacted Alvaro Accosta and spoke with him about the issue of distributing the vaccine.
- Planned and developed the various subprojects.

Team member: Kevin Ryan
- Presented at the Giant Jamboree.
- Helped to carry out cloning and assisted in the design of cell culture experiments. Assisted in general laboratory work.
- Performed along with James Meeke in our song “I Like It Lactis” on UCC Radio.
- Acted as a point of contact between computer scientist Paul Ryan and the rest of the team for the wiki design.
- Presented about iGEM at a Summer Research Symposium in UCC.
- Helped Indie bio EU in running of their Demo day and Summer Party.
- Did a charity skydive alongside Seema Subedi, James Meeke and Donnacha Fitzgerald in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research as part of our charity work.
- Helped IndieBio EU in running of their Demo day and Summer Party by managing their Periscope live recording; interviewed numerous Scientists and Investors.
- Cloning and submission of biobrick parts.

Team member: Seema Subedi
- Presented at the Giant Jamboree.
- Assisted in laboratory work.
- Conducted a research on Leishmaniasis in Nepal.
- Carried out Interlab study with Regina Walsh.
- Worked on designing and producing video on Golden Rice for Public Engagement.
- Designed a presentation and delivered a talk to local secondary schools with other team members.
- Did collaboration work with NRP-UEA-Norwich Team and XMU-China Team with fellow team member, Regina Walsh.
- Co-managed UCC iGEM’s Social media accounts.
- Animated a lyrics video for our song “I Like It Lactis”.
- Designed the team logo, banner and other animated posts.
- Helped IndieBio EU in running of their Demo day and Summer Party by managing their Periscope live recording; interviewed numerous Scientists and Investors.
- Did a charity skydive alongside Donnacha Fitzgerald, James Meeke and Kevin Ryan in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research and, also donated 15 inches of hair to Rapunzel foundation as part of our charity work.

- Presented at the Giant Jamboree.
- Assisted in general laboratory work (ligations, transformations, restriction mapping, PCR etc.)
- Assisted in research into selection of tumour associated antigen.
- Wrote and performed “I like it Lactis” song along with Kevin Ryan and Renilson Mapele, and spoke on radio interview.
- Gave presentation on synthetic biology at a local secondary school along with Seema Subedi and Regina Walsh.
- Did charity skydive with Seema Subedi, Donnacha Fitzgerald and Kevin Ryan in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research and also took part in the “Colour Dash” run in aid of Irish Cancer Society along with Regina Walsh, Brandon Malone, Amy Keane and Leanne O’Sullivan.
