   <p>One day, Kellie wanted to go for a swim. She left the porch of her lonely beach house and plunged into the icy ocean water. There was a slight undertow, just enough. Wiping salty spray from her eyes, Kellie peered out across the lagoon and saw a flickering light, about a hundred yards away. As her eyes came to focus, she realized that the light was a flame. A tree, perched in the middle of the water, was cracking apart in the force of a violent inferno. A small boy with red hair and freckles danced about it and drew pentagrams in the sand. Clearly distressed by this image, Kellie removed a conch shell from the water, and blew into one end. A triumphant call sounded into the salty air, and dolphins began to drop from the sky.</p>

Drew Ells

Drew is a sophomore at Wash U double majoring in Chemical Engineering and Systems Engineering. This is his first year participating in iGEM, and he has taken on the role of Financial Coordinator for the team. One day Drew hopes to work in renewable energy, but synthetic biology is another passion of his. He also sings for the Wash U Pikers a capella group and can run a 9 minute mile.

Harley Greene
